Technical requirements      
         
  Set requirements   
  • 1 Platform (Raiser) – 8' x 12' x 18" height (for 5 musicians and singer)
  • 1 Stepblock for climbing onto above raiser
  • Simple Carpeting on platform
  • 2 Writing desks – wooden antique style (not very ornate) approx 3.5’x2’ or 4’x2’ each - identical
  • 2 Wooden Chairs (preferably without arms) for above desks – identical
  • 4 Backdrops 4’ x 14' with calligraphed poetry (from IPTA)
  • 1 Backdrop with portrait of Kaifi Azmi - 8' x 8' ( from IPTA)
  • Pipes / curtain rods for hanging all backdrops (Extra rigging or pipes not needed if theatre has adequate facility to hang panels parallel to lighting bars above stage)
  • Stage - background / cyclorama should be preferably black. 2 black wings on either side of the stage. If stage is being made in non-theatre venue then size is approx. 30'x40'. Please inform us about the size of the room with height.
Lights requirements
  • 18 or 24 channel slider (pulsar) board with atleast 2 kW capacity on each dimmer (if the operating console is a different type / make then please inform us)
  • Fresnel Spotlights 1000 W – 18 nos (Barn doors on all spots if possible)
  • T-Spots / PCs 1000W – 10 nos
  • Profile / foco light - 6 nos.
  • Colour gel papers (red, amber, yellow, blue)
  • Single light stands or light bars in wings– 4 nos (required only if theatre / hall does not have adequate bars for hanging lights above stage and from FOH)
  • T-stands of 12 feet height each - 2 nos (required only if theatre / hall does not have adequate bars for hanging lights above stage and from FOH)
Sound requirements
  • Microphones required - for vocal & non electronic instruments  - 10 nos SM58 Shure with stands
  • Feeds for electronic instruments (direct line outs) - 2 nos.
  • Lapel microphones - 2 nos.
  • Boundary microphones – 2 nos
  • Cordless Handheld Microphone for announcements – 1 no.
  • Sound Mixer and reverb unit with effects machine
  • Sound monitors for feedback - 2 nos.
  • Appropriate speakers as per auditorium
Production Checklist
  • Arrangements for tea / coffee and refreshments at the auditorium: during setup time, before the show and in the interval. (Electric kettle, mineral water, tea bags, sugar, milk, marie bisuits, glasses, tea cups, glasses and napkins in backstage so that we can serve ourselves.)
  • Adequate chairs in the backstage and adequate green room facilities (minimum 2 green rooms)
  • Facility to get costumes ironed before the show.
  • Stage hands who can help in putting up the backdrops
  • Local Sound and light technicians who are aware of the venue / auditorium.
